Disaster Recovery MRTU - Market Risk Management | Sr. Project ManagerIn response to NERC and FERC guidelines, implemented Disaster Recovery functionality for Front Office trading and Market Risk Management functionalities as part of the MRTU initiative.  Project included: $400K infrastructure upgrade, Development of SLA's and OLA's for all applications and business  functions, Development of RTO and RPO objectives.  Successfully executed the DR plan during Operating Hours.  Budget:  $1.2MM,  Staff: 15  


Energy Procurement Integration |
Strategic Plan | Program Manager.  Guided and championed this long-term Enterprise strategic initiative from Concept to Business Case to Scope Statement .  Established Program and Project Management CMMI infra-structure.  Delivered a 5 year Development Road Map, including Cost Estimate ($26MM), NPV/ROI, staffing, and work schedule.

 

Market Redesign Technology Upgrade (MRTU) | Energy Procurement - Back Office Settlement Program | Program Manager | Sr. Project Manager | Sr. Testing Manager.  Mandated by Federal and State Regulators and in response to the energy crises of 2000, the $80MM Market Re-design and Technology Upgrade (MRTU) strategic initiative focused on improving/upgrading the Business Processes and IT systems to assure delivery of power and to create a “stock-market” like trading system for energy. Most complex IT effort associated with bidding, scheduling, and settling energy procurement transactions.

Delivery Manager Back Office Energy Procurement Settlement Systems.  Directed the Design, Development, and Test phases of multiple in-house applications for Back Office Energy Procurement settlement Transactions.  Directed the Middleware and Infra-Structure/Technical Architecture teams in transitioning to a new Enterprise Middleware/SOA standard and a new Hardware/Applications Architecture .  Directed and Controlled all project activities related to: planning, scheduling, risk/issue identification/mitigation, change control, resource acquisition, resource leveling, budget control, project costing and forecasting.  Staff: 70| Budget: $12 MM
